Why Families Choose Tustin Connect

In-person classes are held only once or twice a week. All assignments are shared for each week, which allows students to learn at their own pace, and even travel throughout the week. This flexibility allows students to pursue their passion while receiving a world-class education and keeping pace with their grade-level peers.

Students may bring their own device to access modern online curriculum  or they can check out a district-issued laptop or iPad. 

3. Tuition-Free 
Tustin Connect is an independent study school in the Tustin Unified School District. There is no tuition to enroll.

In addition to rigorous self-paced academic assignments, Tustin Connect offers students unique access to collaborative opportunities with peers and face-to-face instruction. 

5. Dual Enrollment & Access to Neighborhood Schools
High school students have opportunities for dual-enrollment and participation in extracurricular and co-curricular activities at their neighborhood school of residence.  

How it Works

Student Weekly Assignments
Tustin Connect teachers assign students weekly learning activities and assignments that are primarily completed at home. Students must complete all of their assignments every week to remain enrolled at Tustin Connect. 
​

Weekly Check-In
Weekly communication with students and parents is critical for success. Students must check-in with their teacher at least once a week at their scheduled time or during collaborative learning days or lab hours. Online or virtual appointments are available for high school students. 
​

Assessments
Students must be present for district and state testing. Middle and high school students must also be present for proctored unit tests.
