Dual-Enrollment Overview
Through Tustin Connect, students in good standing may obtain permission to take up to two classes at the middle or high school in their attendance area. Parents/students may request particular classes and/or periods; however, the schools will make the determination based on availability and enrollment at the time of the request.
Policies
Students must maintain passing grades in all the classes they take at Tustin Connect and the middle or high school of residence. If a student is failing a class at any point in the year, the administrator from Tustin Connect and the middle or high school will determine whether dual enrollment can continue.
Students must maintain satisfactory attendance in the classes they take at the middle or high school and complete coursework on time at Tustin Connect. If a student has unexcused absences or tardies in any month, or fails to turn in the Tustin Connect work on time, the administrator from Tustin Connect and the middle or high school will determine whether dual enrollment can continue.
Students must maintain satisfactory behavior/citizenship in the classes they take at the middle or high school. If a student receives less than a satisfactory mark in this area in any month, the administrator from Tustin Connect and the middle or high school will determine whether dual enrollment can continue.
Students are required to submit monthly reports to the Tustin Connect counselor to verify satisfactory grades and attendance from the middle or high school of residence.
Inter-district transfer students will not be able to choose their school for dual-enrollment. Placement will be made based on availability.
